The Freedom Programme
‘The Dominator is his name, Controlling women is his game’.
The Freedom Programme was written by Pat Craven who worked with the perpetrators of domestic violence. She has brought all her experience to build an inspiring programme dispelling the myths of domestic violence. The Freedom Programme looks at the perpetrator of domestic violence and how he works It tries to answer the age old question ‘why does he do it? It gives women the chance to see she is not the only one it happens to, that it is ‘not your fault’. The Freedom Programme is open to any woman over the age of 16 who wants to learn more about the reality of domestic violence and abuse in relationships. Each session runs for 2 hours, 1 day a week for 6 weeks and looks at all the different characters and controlling behaviours of the abuser.
