My Sisters Place offers an instant access service enabling women to contact us directly if they need some help. When the service opened in 2002, we saw around 150 women in the first year - a figure that has risen steadily year on year.

In 2017-18 we supported 1425 Women directly through the main service, and many more through women's groups, community events and with telephone advice only.

The trend continues in an upward direction; over the last 3 years we have seen a rise of over 30% from 968 women in 2015-16, 1140 in 2016-17 to 1425 this year.

It's a worrying trend and we are working hard to meet the demand, hence we are investing in earlier intervention schemes and community awareness events to get people the help they need at the earliest opportunity - lets not wait until the situation gets so serious that families are in court processes and safeguarding procedures.
