This has been a tough period for everyone, but as has been well reported in the media, lockdown has meant women are trapped with their abusers which can be very dangerous and also mean the intensity of abuse and manipulation has greatly increased. Most of us are safe at home, some of the women we help are not. We are working hard to remain visible for those that need us and are continuing to help women in our area remotely. As we move towards re-opening our ‘one stop shop’ service, it has been critical to puts safety measures in place to protect staff, volunteers and clients.
Further to this, we are extremely grateful to have been donated face masks from local firm NAD LAB UK. As a charity, we do not have extra funds to purchase lots of PPE, and so gestures such as these are really appreciated and help us concentrate on service delivery.
Thank you for helping us make a big difference to the lives of women in our area.
